This GT40 looks resplendent in its red paintwork, almost mimicking the Ferraris which it helped to defeat in the 1960s. This is a Scalextric 1/32 Slot Car that is using a Carrera Digital 132 chip to enable you to use this car on your Carrera Digital Race Track. This car is Digital Carrera 132 ONLY and can not be used on an Analog Race Track.

The Slot.it GT40 series of models is close to one of my favorite slot cars for road racing. One of the main reasons is that it has what I look for most in a slot car: BALANCE. Balance of scale detail, performance, & price. Of course the car and people behind it that created a legend in motorsports history doesn't hurt. The Ford GT40 is one of the most famous cars in Le Mans history, having won the 24-hour race four times in a row. 10/13/2015 This a very interesting car. It is made from a die-cast model. It is quite heavy for a slot car (19 ounces or 1 and a 1/4 pounds). It is larger than 1/24 scale, as shown in the picture with the brown Carrera 1/24 GT-40 (not included). The red GT-40 is about 8 1/4 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide.
